The first project is dedicated to forged special steel, which will serve critical industries including automotive, aerospace, and heavy machinery. This facility will employ advanced forging technologies to produce steel with superior mechanical properties such as enhanced tensile strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance, meeting stringent requirements for high-stress applications.
The second project targets mold steel production, catering to the expanding needs of China's模具 (mold) and die-casting industries. The new line will manufacture various grades of mold steel optimized for plastic injection, die-casting, and stamping applications, featuring improved hardness, wear resistance, and polishing characteristics essential for precision tooling.
These initiatives align with broader national efforts to upgrade China's manufacturing capabilities and reduce reliance on imported specialty steels. By early 2025, Jiyuan Steel's new projects are expected to enhance domestic supply chains for critical steel grades, supporting downstream industries in automotive manufacturing, consumer electronics, and industrial equipment production.
The commissioning of these projects positions Jiyuan Steel to capitalize on evolving market trends, where demand for high-quality forged components and precision molds continues to rise amid global shifts toward electric vehicles, advanced electronics, and automated manufacturing systems.
